Contrasting Background & Rule Of Thirds

Contrasting background always create a compelling shot.So tried few pictures with black background.
RULE OF THIRDS:


Rule of thirds is also called as GOLDEN RULE OF PHOTOGRAPHY.


I tried rule of thirds in the above picture.Rule of thirds is nothing but the main subject should be near the intersecting points of the gridlines.See to that the eye of the subject should be in the gridlines or in the upper half of the gridline.If nothing interesting in particular you can opt to take the pictures with subject in the center.
You can choose the option of gridlines in most of your cameras.If you cannot find them you can also crop it through editing tools like iphoto.


I tried Rule-Of-Thirds in the above picture such that the eye is in the upper gridline.
